What my novels are about ...
My novels for adults may be categorized as Women’s Fiction, but they appeal to both men and women of all ages. The books are eclectic in nature. Some may include elements of mystery, romance, suspense, and the paranormal. Others focus mainly on the relationship aspect and how the characters face life’s problems. I love delving into the emotions of the characters, all of whom are forty years and older. I have written one middle-grade novel (for ages 9-12), which also appeals to the young at heart. |
“There’s nothing I love more than getting lost in a good story, but many times I put a fictional book aside because it lacks substance and depth. Candace Murrow’s books survive this test, holding my avid attention to the end.
Transition is a theme that weaves through each story. The major players come alive and evolve as they deal with changes that unfold in a plot which twists and turns in surprising and mysterious ways. The characters are consistently interesting, often quirky, and so believable I feel like I am eavesdropping in on a juicy conversation. Reading one of Murrow’s stories is more than a great escape. She brilliantly conveys an underlying message of the deeper mystery of how unseen forces support our growth if we accept and allow change in our lives. When I reluctantly come to the end of the book, I am left with a fondness for the characters, the satisfaction of a story well told, and renewed faith in the magic of an expanding universe.” --Victoria Tennant, M.Ed.
